Mr. Govind Chandra Dash, Chairman

Mr. Govind Chandra Dash is well known for his contributions in Community Service activities in Odisha. After having experience in social developmental works in Gram Vikas, he founded the NGO Gram-Utthan in the year 1990.
Under his able leadership and Management, Gram Utthan has achieved several milestones and has created a niche position for itself in the NGO sector by continuously working for the development of the downtrodden people of Orissa. He successfully implemented Credit and Savings for Household Enterprise program of CARE-India (one of the largest financial inclusion program of DFID in South Asia). With the support of ICICI Bank, Central Bank, Axis Bank and other banks he pioneered financial inclusion program of Gram Utthan. He started first Housing loan services to rural households in Odisha in collaboration with Swarna Pragati Housing Micro Finance He was one of the associates of Rashtriya Mahila Kosh and National Minority Development Financial Corporation to improve Financial Inclusion in Odisha. He is one of the Project Advisory Committee members of UPNRM project of NABARD in Odisha. 
He founded GUFS(P)L as a separate company to provide an exclusive platform for Financial Inclusion efforts of Gram Utthan.
Mr. Dash is a Master in Social Work (MSW) from the Asian Institute of Social Science, Berhampur.
 
 
Mr. Sashibhusan Dash , Managing Director

Mr. Sasibhusan Dash has wide-ranging leadership experience in the financial service sector with experience of working in Bank, NBFC and HFC. He has worked in diverse operational and planning functions in India and abroad. Sasi started his career as a Probationary Officer with the State Bank of India. He worked for SBI for 28 years in many senior positions including assignments in Tokyo and Frankfurt. In Tokyo he had worked in forex and documentary credit. Sasi headed the treasury and investment portfolio of SBI’s Germany operations as a Senior Vice President for more than four years. He was Regional Head in SBI’s Mumbai Zone. He has expertise in developing and leading operational processes and functions in retail banking, international trade, forex, credit delivery, compliance and risk management. Sasi worked as Vice President, Credit and Advisory with Asia Pragati, a Delhi-based NBFC. He headed the business development activities of Swarna Pragati Housing Micro Housing Finance as President.
Sasi was an Independent Director of GUFS since 2014 before joining the Company as Managing Director in October,2017
Sasi has done his MSc from IIT, Kharagpur and PGDBM from NMIMS, Mumbai. He is a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers(CAIIB).

 

 

 
Mr. Prasad Kuchibatla, Independent Director

Mr. Prasad Kuchibatla has 33 Years of Experience with Reserve Bank of India in various capacities .After joining as Junior Officer in 1972 he had worked in the areas of Supervision and Examination of Non - Banking Financial Institutions & Banks including the Developmental Financial Institutions. Before joining RBI, he functioned as Senior Breeder with USAID and Rockefeller Foundations in developing disease resistant and high yielding Rice Varieties at Hyderabad with All India Coordinated Rice Improvement Project for more than four years. He has been serving as an independent director on the board of several established NBFC-MFIs as well as other category of NBFCs.
 
 
Mrs. Sanjukta Raiguru , Independent Director

Mrs. Sanjukta Raiguru worked with State Bank of India for 35 years having cross-functional experiences in the areas of Retail Banking (personal and SME), Banking Operations, Learning and Development and Corporate Social Responsibility. Sanjukta has held several leadership positions and important assignments within the State Bank of India with a successful track record of driving growth and positioning new products and launching new initiatives. She brings extensive experience as a subject matter expert in Retail, Marketing, Behavioural Science, Leadership Development and CSR. She has a deep interest in reaching out to the needy with compassion.

Mrs. Raiguru had helped in setting up SBI Foundation, the CSR subsidiary of SBI Group, the first Section VIII not-for-profit company in the public sector and headed it as its first Managing Director. She framed vision, mission, policies, strategies, systems and procedures for successful operations and provided leadership and directions to all functions of the Foundation.

Mrs. Raiguru is an MA from Utkal University. She has extensive training in Banking in India and abroad.

 
Mr. Gobinda Chandra Nayak , Director

Mr. Gobinda Chandra Nayak was practicing as an Advocate in the Orissa High Court before joining Gram Utthan Board.  Since his association with Gram Utthan in the year 1996, he is actively providing guidance and support for various legal issues of the organization. He is one of the promoters of GUFS. He has been associated in the policy formulation for effective credit delivery of the Microfinance Programme. He has made excellent contribution to improve recovery performances.
He is an MA with Law degree.
